What Is a KA02 Report and Who Needs One for New Zealand Migration?

If you’re an overseas-qualified engineer applying for registration with the Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand (IPENZ), now operating as Engineering New Zealand (ENZ), you need to submit a KA02 assessment application. This is New Zealand’s equivalent of Australia’s CDR — a structured technical document that proves your engineering competencies meet local professional standards.

The KA02 assessment evaluates your qualifications and experience against the International Engineering Alliance’s graduate attributes and professional competencies.
